A recent addition to the Building Surveying team in Auckland, Mike has over 15 yearsâ experience in the industry. Originally from the United Kingdom, Mike started out his career working for an Estate Agent. During this time, Mike undertook several diplomas, an undergraduate degree and a post graduate certificate whilst working and gaining considerable experience to become a Chartered Surveyor in the Building Surveying pathway whilst also gaining Registered Valuer Status.
Mike has gained national panel appointments for secured lending, dealing with £1m+ property acquisitions. He has previously been appointed surveyor for corporate bodies, including local authority and representative bodies of church and ecclesiastical organisations, for charity reports and pre-purchase advice and surveys. Mike has extensive knowledge on condition surveys, having advised both landlords and tenants on dilapidations and condition surveys at tenancy commencement and termination.
Mike prides himself with having a keen analytical eye for detail and an inherent curiosity. He is an Assessor for the RICS and a mentor for candidates undertaking their Assessment of Professional Competence.
