Terina began studying for a career in architectural design in China by completing a Bachelor of Architectural Study at the Shandong University of Civil Engineering and Architecture. She then moved to New Zealand to undertake a further architecture degree at Auckland’s Unitec Institute of Technology.
As an architectural technician, Terina is experienced in rendering 2D and 3D design details including initial concept drawings and preliminary and final construction details. She also prepares ancillary town planning and building consent documentation.
Before joining Prendos, Terina worked for an Auckland-based specialist façade design and construction company, preparing façade designs for residential and high-rise commercial buildings across a range of construction types.
Terina’s passion for architecture reaches back to her teenage years when she hand-sketched many diverse building details out of curiosity about what she observed. She describes her profession as the perfect combination of art and science in the built environment.
“Architecture has now become a way of life for me,” says Terina. “It keeps me motivated and organised yet always on the lookout for fresh ideas, new perspectives and elegant outcomes, especially when dealing with the complexities of large-scale design projects.”
